Reports are coming in of traffic delays on State Highway 29.

A SunLive reader has emailed in saying traffic is backing up on both side of the Kaimai Summit.

"There appears to be a crash on the Matamata side of the summit."

People are advised to expect delays in the area.

A police spokesperson says police are responding to a single vehicle crash on SH29, reported just before 11:20am.

"Looks like the westbound lane is blocked near Hanga Road.

"No reports of injury at this time."
