John was the patriarch of his group of close friends. Knowledgeable and witty to the end. As per John's instructions a celebration of his life is to be held at the Mount Maunganui RSA on Friday 6th of September at 10.30am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mount RSA would be appreciated.
