Tauranga’s iconic John’s Photo Pharmacy is marking an exciting milestone as its original owner, John, steps into retirement.

Taking the reins is pharmacist Rebecca Greaves, who’s thrilled to lead the proudly locally-owned business into its next chapter.

“It’s an honour to carry on the legacy that John began more than 30 years ago,” says Rebecca. “Since opening in 1993, we’ve established a loyal customer base, and I want to reassure everyone that the same great service they’ve come to trust will continue.”

Rebecca has worked alongside John for the last 20 years, so she’s no stranger to its strong connection with the community.

Under her ownership, the focus remains on providing quality care and advice. John’s Photo Pharmacy provides a herbal dispensary with trained naturopaths and herbalists, pharmacy dispensary and consult services, a professional photo lab and an abundance of giftware and pharmacy lines.

“I’ve always admired how John treated customers like family,” Rebecca says. “That’s something I’m committed to maintaining, alongside our high standard of care and attention to detail.”

As John enjoys his well-earned retirement, Rebecca is looking forward to bringing fresh ideas to the pharmacy while maintaining the warmth and familiarity customers love.
