A business in Tauranga had a window smashed during a burglary early on Monday.

Police were called to reports of a burglary at a commercial property in Cameron Road, Tauranga early on Monday morning where a window was smashed to gain entry.

Police say the window was not smashed with a vehicle.

"It is unclear whether anything was taken," says a Police spokesperson.

Also on Monday morning at around 4.50am, a shop at Brookfield shopping centre was ram raided..

Police are continuing to make enquires for both incidents.
